1. Event Overview
This is a three-day adventure tour travelling on both sealed and unsealed roads, including rough terrain and a tolled road. Vehicles must be suitable for these conditions and in sound mechanical order.
The organisers reserve the right to modify the route or itinerary where necessary due to weather, road conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
2. Refunds & Cancellations
Refund cut-off date: 22nd October
Cancellations received on or before this date will receive a full refund (less any non-refundable fees).
No refunds will be issued after this date, including for non-attendance.
Partial refunds may be granted at the organisers’ discretion in exceptional circumstances.
Tolled Road:
If access to the tolled road is unavailable, the toll component will be refunded.
If a participant withdraws before travelling the tolled road due to mechanical failure, a refund may be issued at the organisers’ discretion.
Event Changes or Cancellation:
The organisers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, road closures, government restrictions, or unforeseen circumstances.
Any refund or credit will be determined at the organisers’ discretion, taking into account costs already incurred.
3. Vehicle & Driver Responsibility
All vehicles must be road-legal and in sound mechanical condition.
Drivers must hold a current and valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle.
Participants are fully responsible for the condition, operation, and safety of their vehicle at all times.
4. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
Participation in this event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to vehicle damage, personal injury, or loss.
Participants accept that they take part at their own risk. The organisers and volunteers will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during the event.
5. Insurance
Participants must ensure their vehicle is adequately insured, including at least third-party liability cover.
The organisers do not provide insurance for participants, vehicles, or property.
6. Participant Conduct
Participants must behave in a safe and responsible manner at all times and comply with all road rules and organiser instructions.
The organisers reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, inappropriate, or brings the event into disrepute. No refund will be provided in such cases.
7. Road Use
This is not a race. All participants must obey New Zealand road rules at all times.
8. Tour Capacity
The tour is limited to 40 vehicles.
9. Booking & Payment
A confirmation email will be sent once a booking form is submitted.
Payment must be made within 5 working days of confirmation.
Booking changes are subject to availability and must be requested via email.
10. Support & Route Responsibility
Support vehicles will be available to provide limited assistance where reasonably possible. However, participants remain responsible for their own vehicle, navigation, and progress throughout the event.
Support crews are not mechanics and may be unable to resolve mechanical issues. If a participant falls behind or leaves the designated route, assistance may be delayed or unavailable.
Participants should be self-sufficient and prepared for the conditions.
11. Remote Area Acknowledgement
Participants acknowledge that parts of the tour may involve remote areas with limited or no mobile phone coverage and delayed access to emergency services.
Participants are responsible for their own safety, preparedness, and personal needs during the event.
12. Media
Participants consent to photographs and video taken during the event being used for promotional purposes unless they notify the organisers in writing prior to the event.

By entering this tour, participants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
